Independant Inspections

I am about to place the 3rd order for one of my products and the supplier is recommending I dont bother with the independant inspection as most other customers dont. I am going to insist on an inspection as previous ones have picked up faulty units, which have been replaced prior to leaving the factory.

The question is: Do many others who are into their 3rd, 4th, 5th and beyond stop having the independant inspections and trust the QC of the company to meet standards?

The supplier's opinion and what other sellers do is irrelevant, you need to protect your business, your customers and your listing - inspect every shipment! (y)

I've been working with one of my suppliers for 6 years and I still inspect every shipment, it's also a requirement for some insurance providers.

If you don't do quality inspection, your supplier may cut corners or won't care about the quality of the product.
Even if you really don't want to quality inspect this time, you need to mention to your supplier when placing the order that you'll do a third-party quality inspection, just to make the supplier take it more seriously!
