Do you push the button to ask for reviews? I don't in the USA as my products are well established and have over 1000 reviews. In UK I am starting out I went for 10 vine reviews and touchwood they have all been good 5 stars so far. Does pushing the button on amazon order page to ask for a review actually make any difference to getting more reviews?

I use Follow Ups from Helium 10 to automate this but I'm not sure it's making much of a difference. Helium 10's own reports don't show many conversions but it feels like my review rate has increased since I started using it.

We used to be able to send a message direct from seller central requesting a review, not any longer, amazon now decide the message. This makes me wonder why amazon allow us to use a service like helium 10 to create our own messaging, is it amazon compliant?

Hi, you can still contact the customer once your order has been shipped, and use a custom message.

I always do this to open a communication channel with the customer - and avoid returns and bad reviews. This gives them a chance to complain directly to me instead of going via reviews.

In terms of messaging, to make it compliant, I just ask them to LMK if they have received an incorrect item or have delivery issues. It can be a pain sometimes when the customer takes their Amazon frustration out on you, but all in all a plus in my view.

Thanks.
